Product Description
JYRC-20 Low Surface Treatment Epoxy Roof Paint is a low-solvent, high-volume solids, two-component, thick-paste epoxy resin paint suitable for both new construction and maintenance of components.
Main Features
This product can be used on various substrates, including manually treated corroded steel, sandblasted steel, and various undamaged aged coatings. It provides excellent corrosion protection for industrial, coastal, pulp and paper plants, bridges, and offshore facilities exposed to atmospheric and water environments.
Application Instructions
All surfaces to be coated should be clean, dry, and free from contaminants. Before painting, all surfaces should be assessed and treated according to ISO 8504:2000 standards.
Surface of the primer: This product should always be applied over the recommended anti-corrosion primer. The primer surface should be dry and free from contaminants.
Areas with peeling and damage should be treated to meet the Sa2.5 (ISO 8501-1:1988) or SSPC-SP6 blast cleaning standard or the SSPC-SP11 manual/power tool cleaning standard.
Apply an additional primer coat to these areas before applying this product.
Manual or power tool cleaning: Perform manual or power tool cleaning to at least St3 (ISO 8501-1:1988) or SSPC-SP2 standards.
Note: All mill scale must be removed, and areas not adequately treated with chisels or needle guns should be locally blast cleaned to at least Sa2 (ISO 8501-1:1988) or SSPC-SP6 standards. Generally, this applies to C-grade or D-grade rust standards.
Pre-coated zinc primers: Check if the primer surface is clean, dry, free from contaminants and zinc salts, then apply this product. Ensure that the zinc primer has fully cured before applying other coatings.
Recommended Surface Roughness: 50-75 microns
The substrate temperature should not be less than 10°C and should be at least 3°C higher than the dew point temperature.
Mixing:
This product is supplied in two containers and should be mixed to form a single unit. Each time, it must be mixed in the specified ratio, mixed in pairs, and used within the recommended pot life.
(1) Stir the base material (A) with a power mixer.
(2) Combine all of the curing agent (B) with the base material (A) and thoroughly mix with a power mixer.

2. How do I choose the right paint color for my space?
We offer a wide selection of paint colors and can provide color swatches or samples to help you decide.
3. What is the recommended surface preparation before painting?
For best results, ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, and loose particles. Patch any cracks or holes, and consider using a primer for better adhesion.
4. Can your paints be used on different surfaces?
Yes, our paints are formulated to work on a variety of surfaces such as drywall, wood, concrete, and metal. Always check the product label for specific surface compatibility.
5. How many coats of paint are usually needed?
While one coat might suffice in some cases, two coats are recommended for an even finish and better coverage, especially when transitioning to a lighter color.
6. What is the drying time between coats?
Drying times can vary based on environmental conditions. As a general guideline, wait for the first coat to be touch-dry before applying the second coat. This can range from 2 to 4 hours.
